About Dr. Crabb

Dr. Crabb was saved at age 13. He grew up in a Pastor’s home and graduated 1st in class at from his medical school–Des Moines University. Previously, he was the bi-vocational assistant Pastor at Gospel Baptist Church in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Currently he is a member of Lancaster Baptist Church serving as part time staff under Pastor Paul Chappell. He teaches biblical counseling courses at West Coast Baptist College. He has written 15 books and booklets regarding various biblical counseling topics. He also practicing medicine at Kaiser in Lancaster, CA.

Dr. Charles Hodges

Dr. Charles Hodges is currently the Executive Director of Vision of Hope, a residential treatment facility for women in Lafayette, IN.  He is an instructor at Faith Bible Seminary as well as a counselor, and conference speaker for Faith Biblical Counseling Ministries.  He also serves as a deacon in Faith Church.

He holds a B.A. in History from Indiana University – Purdue University of Indianapolis, a M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine, and an M.A. in Counseling from Liberty University and an M.A. in Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

He is a Family Practice Physician and a Deacon at Grace Baptist Church, Lebanon, IN. ACBC Certified; ACBC Fellow, instructor and counselor at FBCM; married with 4 children and 13 grandchildren.

Dr. Ben Marshall

Ben is an ACBC-certified Fellow and served for 15 years as the Counseling Pastor at Canyon Hills Community Church near Seattle, Washington. He holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s College, a Doctorate of Educational Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a specialization in addiction and reconciliation counseling . Ben started a counseling ministry in his local church from the ground up and established it as an ACBC-Certified Training Center. Ben also founded two resident addiction recovery facilities—Damascus House for Men in 2015 and the Damascus House for Women in early 2022. His experience and passion for soul care has made him a great fit for his current role as the Executive Director of Freedom That Lasts, a faith-based addition recovery program. He and his wife have eight children.

Melissa Dawn Baker

Melissa Baker is an ACBC certified biblical counselor out of Winston-Salem, NC, where she counsels through Daughter of Grace Ministry and at New Salem Counseling Center. She holds a BS in Music Education, and MA in Sacred Music from Pensacola College and an MA in Biblical Counseling from Master’s University, in Santa Clarita, CA. 

She has 38 years of educational teaching experience, mainly at the high school and college levels, and over forty years working in women’s ministry. Aside from leading a women’s life group in her own home church (Calvary West, Advance, NC), Melissa speaks at various women’s conferences and meetings. In the hopes of helping women replace their anxiety with peace, she has written and published the Bible study “To Cast My Cares.” Melissa is a widow with two grown daughters, five grandchildren, and an amazing supportive extended family.

Ann Karosas

RPh, BCOP, MAPC
Counselor at VFBCC

Ann received her BS degree in pharmacy from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1977 and board certification in oncology pharmacy in 2000. She spent 25 years at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Specializing in the treatment of cancer, palliative care, and pain management, and currently works for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network in Plymouth Meeting, PA. She is serving on guideline panels and authoring a drug compendium for the treatment of leukemias and lymphomas.

Ann received a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University in 2021 and a certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors in 2025. Ann is passionate about the Word of God and specializes in counseling women and girls of all ages and stages of life.

Larissa Miller

Larissa was saved at the age of 12 after hearing the gospel for the first time. She has been serving alongside her husband in ministry for 18 years in multiple capacities, including Biblical Counseling and teaching at Vision Baptist College

Her life’s work is dedicated to teaching and counseling individuals through the lens of scripture, offering guidance and wisdom rooted and grounded in her deep faith. Larissa’s love for the Lord is the driving force behind her compassionate service, as she seeks to live out her faith by helping others navigate their spiritual journey. She and her husband have been members of Solid Rock Baptist Church for the last eleven years in Berlin, NJ under Pastor Charles Clark.

Lamar Eifert

Lamar Eifert worked in the financial and pharmaceutical fields for the first 12 years of his career before surrendering to full-time ministry.  He was ordained to the ministry in 1998 and has served as the Pastor of Family Ministries and Counseling at Valley Forge Baptist Temple for the past 26 years.  He opened the Valley Forge Biblical Counseling Center (VFBCC) in 2013 where he serves as Director.  He has his Masters degree in Biblical Counseling and is also a certified biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) since 2010.  He began the annual Competent to Counsel Conference in 2012 to help train pastors and lay people within the local church to become effective biblical counselors and reach the community with the gospel

Scott Wendal

Scott Wendal is the senior and founding pastor of Valley Forge Baptist Temple in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.  In 2023, the church celebrated its 39th year of ministry under his leadership. He is married to Jodie, a pastor’s daughter from Canada, and they have five children – Matt, Jeremy, Megan, Scotty Jr. and Amber.  Pastor Matt and his wife Nikki serve fulltime in ministry with them.  Valley Forge Baptist has a growing missions program currently supporting over 230+ missionaries and projects worldwide.  For 12 years, he served on the Board of Trustees of Baptist International Missions Inc. and currently is on the Pastoral Advisory Board of West Coast Baptist College.  He is also a contributor to ministry127.com.
