Postponed until spring 2021
Based on the feedback we have received to date, it seems to be in the best interest for many to reschedule the VFBCC Competent to Counsel Conference for next spring (April or May). We apologize for any inconvenience but had to make the necessary adjustments given the unique times of COVID we are currently facing.
If you have already registered, we have promptly reimbursed your purchase through EventBrite by putting your payment back on your credit card. Please stay tuned for a specific date next spring when we expect the heightened attention of the national pandemic to have subsided.
We are excited to bring you helpful information that can further your ministry effectiveness through the contents of this conference. We apologize for the delay but want to maximize the spread of this information to as many as possible! Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Keynote Speaker, Pastor Kevin Carson
Senior Pastor, Sonrise Baptist Church in Ozark, MO
Kevin grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the son of a pastor and often says “it has been my privilege to have lived my entire life in and around church.” In 1990 Kevin moved to Springfield, Missouri to attend Baptist Bible College. There he met his wife Kelly and was married in 1994. Shortly thereafter, he started working as the senior adult pastor at Cherry Street Baptist Church. It was in that ministry where Kelly and Kevin first started talking about planting a church. They are thrilled God brought a team together with them to start Sonrise in 2002.
Kevin also started teaching as a faculty member of Baptist Bible Graduate School in 1999 (now Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary). Kevin also serves as a member of the Ozark Rotary Cub. In the process of all this God has given Kevin and Kelly four children. In his spare time Kevin enjoys family, sports, fishing, hunting, and writing.
